Diane Dahm, M.D. & Jay Smith, M.D.
Diane Dahm, M.D., and Jay Smith, M.D., are staff physicians in the Sports Medicine Center at Mayo Clinic.
Dr. Dahm is an orthopedic surgeon and an assistant professor of orthopedic surgery at College of Medicine, Mayo Clinic. She is a member of the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine.
Dr. Smith serves as a staff physician in Mayo Clinic's Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and is an associate professor at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine. Dr. Smith is also a fellow in the American College of Sports Medicine and is a certified strength and conditioning specialist.
Both Drs. Dahm and Smith were members of the medical coverage team at the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, Utah, both have served in consulting roles for the Minnesota Twins. In addition, both have worked as physicians for several semi-professional and college sports teams. Together they have authored more than 100 medical journal articles, abstracts and book chapters.
